This tiger quilt has me not very interested in sewing lately.
The birds are also kinda a drag.
But I managed a few more sections on the tiger quilt!
This is the first ten sections and it actually looks like a whole leaf! Sadly, that is not enough excitement to make me want to run up and make more.
But I will.
I also decided to cut out another set of birds. These guys aren't going to make themselves, you know.
This is where I was when it was time to make dinner last night. I'll finish sewing these today and then work on a few more tiger sections. Before I have to make dinner again.
This weekend, the hubby's work management team went on a wine tasting tour. I'm not a drinker of any kind of alcohol, so it was an interesting time. It was pretty fun, though. The group was friendly and the weather, once the sun had time to warm things up, was beautiful. And now, when the hubby talks about so-and-so, I'll be able to put a face with the name. (There were 24 people on the trip and about half of them were significant others, so not bad.)
Today is baking day. I'm making "Snickers" brownies for work, though there is peanut butter and marshmallow creme involved, so I'm not sure how "Snickers" they'll actually be. I'm sure no one will complain.
I'm also making the "Twinkies" again, but I'm trying with cupcakes this time. I want to make sure they're actually filled and have a better way for cupcakes. These are going with the hubby for his monthly team meeting that he bribes people with homemade goodies. (But seriously? If you were a maintenance guy, used to being on your feet, fixing stuff, and some manager told you there was a meeting, wouldn't you be more excited about sitting in a chair for an hour or two if there were homemade goodies in the room?!)
For now, I'm waiting until all the baked goodies cool so I can start with the next steps of dressing them up.
Maybe I should go sew while they cool?
Yeah, probably...
I hope to have more pics to share next week...
Happy quilting!
Katie

Your Tiger quilt leaves look terrific! Those paper-pieced parts seem to tedious as you're sewing them - but the results are so amazing - keep going! The birds, too - they look terrific when they are done! Would it help to work on part of the Tiger as you work on the leaves? - ;))
