a few more blocks...

Another week with little sewing, but I did drag myself to the machine to complete a few blocks this weekend.

Air Castle
12" finished

(I guess they're not going in alphabetical order!)

Clay's Choice
12" finished

This week Quilt Pro had only two blocks I liked again, but one was Bear's Paw.  Anyone who knows that block knows it's a 7-patch base and that would have required some oddball sizes to get a 10" or 12" block, so I'll save that for another project.

I thought about keeping going today and sewing through the SuperBowl, but so far that's not happening.  The hubby went to his brother's so I could...

This week I demonstrated my circle applique technique for my quilt group.  I make no claim to be a good teacher, but there were few questions, so either I did a great job or a very poor one and everyone was left so confused they didn't know where to start asking!

Other than that, it's been a very uneventful week.  No complaints, but maybe next week will be more exciting and I'll have better things to share here?

Happy quilting,
Katie

Both blocks are lovely, and I love your fabrics; they will make a pretty quilt! I enjoyed studying Clay's Choice a few minutes to figure out how it was put together --- very interesting! ---"Love"

I like your blocks, the colors blend so well! Maybe an uneventful week isn't so bad. I'm sure your class went great and you were brilliant at explaining your technique. You must have left no questions unanswered! Have fun this week, can't wait to see what comes next.

Well you got the blocks done, so that is great! And did your demo. Some weeks we don't sew a much as other weeks.

So how many does that make, so far? They are coming along really well.

Hehe :) I'm sure the few questions meant you did a good job! Love the blues and greens in these.

I like your colour choices for the blocks. You must have almost enough for a small quilt by now

I'm sure your quilting class/demonstration went well. Questions are always a good sign. Your blocks are looking good and I understand why the Bear's Paw was left off. If you change your mind you can always join my 2 inch square club - offering free membership until June!
