Last time you saw these fabrics, they were all cut up into what looked like a pile of fruit slices. Now they're star blocks!
Next they'll be sewn into a top and then the fun begins: figuring out how to make it a bit larger for a twin-size bed. I've got more coordinating fabrics, but I haven't exactly figured out how to use them.
I'm excited at how fast this quilt seems to be coming together (I only worked on sewing these Sunday last week and today) and really excited to give it to my niece. It's going to be hard to wait until Christmas!
Time to get back to the sewing machine!
Happy quilting!

What did the original fabric look like? How is the job hunt going? If you are ready to relocate, let me know. I am sure we have openings.
What delicious fruit slices! Can't wait to see how you put them together; I'm sure you will work it out soon! ---"Love"

Oh, that's really pretty! The fruit slice/centers were printed that way?

Wow! That is coming together fast. Your niece will love it. Are those sewn curves or fussy cut fabric? Either way the effect is really fun.
