we have borders!

Monday I came home from work ready to dig into borders.

I sewed.
And sewed.
And sewed.

Who knew there were so many seams?
(I probably could have if I wanted to, but sometimes it's better to not know beforehand!)

(Why does that photo look blurry?  It wasn't blurry from the camera.  It wasn't blurry in the editing program...  Ah well, you get the idea.)

I think I've got them together properly so they'll go around corners without a print touching a print, but I may have to adjust things.

This weekend I plan to lay out all the blocks and hope to get the whole top together, but we'll see.

I do have to make some sewing room adjustments first.  I woke up in the middle of the night after sewing these to an extremely sharp pain in my back.  This is the second time and now I'm pretty sure it's due to my sewing table setup.

Quilting on the Rose of Sharon is going slowly.  I'm a very good procrastinator when I want to be...

Happy quilting,
Katie

Your borders look great! It is a lot of work to get them together, but I love pieced borders! They add so much interest to the quilt. I always try so hard not to have two like fabrics together when I'm piecing a top but usually there are some. For a scrappy quilt it is hard not to have some touching. You still have half of the month to work on the Rose of Sharon if you are trying to get it done before the 29th. You do have one extra day in Feb. this year, yea, one extra day to sew! ! !

Your borders are looking very pretty. I look forward to seeing the top all together.

Nice;) I know my back hurts when I have to cut stuff. My table is too short. Glad you got some sewing in and are feeling better;)
Happy Quilting!!

I wanna make a whole quilt that looks like your borders! So many quilts and so little time!
