and then it was busy...

I had an idea for another Raggedy Ann and Andy quilt using the fabric Mary sent.

The blocks went like this:

It's not perfect because it's cropped out of the whole top...  So far, so good, right?

Then I had a brainstorm - use that cheater patchwork for sashings!

Uh oh...and then it was BUSY!

I added the red border to try to tone things down (didn't have quite enough...).

WOW!

I hope some little girl loves it because I'm not redoing it.

Then I sewed another red and grey test star.  Which do you like better?  I'm undecided and looking for opinions.

Time to go put my feet up.  I dressed up today and wore wedge/heels and my feet hurt!  I'm used to my running shoes.

Happy quilting!
Katie

Well, I like that red Raggedy quilt! Do I qualify as a little girl? Not crazy about gray fabric and I am sure you will make that one stunning too!

Ooooooo, I like the one with the kitty fabric. It just stands out to me. I always wear comfy shoes and hate it if I have to dress up for anything.

The raggedy quilt is a little busy, but the little girl who receives it won't notice that. She will just love her new dolly and blanket. It is really cute!

I vote for the light middle block on the stars! The Ann & Andy quilt will probably be somebody's favorite and cause her momma a lot of heavy sighs when it has to be dragged everywhere! :) Theri

Your raggeddy ann quilt is just perfect, my daughter just confirmed it. I'm sure some little girl will love it to bits.

I'm partial to the all red star, but in the end it will depend on how you put it all together. Either star I'm sure will result in a striking quilt.

I really like the "busyness" of the red/blue quilt, though that's out of the norm for me. There's enough of the almost solid blue to give the eye a place to rest.
Is there some reason you couldn't use a mix of the red stars? What do you have in mind for them? ---"Love"

Some little girl will that quilt. I think it is adorable. Good use of the fabric.
I think I like the second star, the one with the light center. Seems like trhe stars pops more in that one.
Hope your feet are better.
Happy stitching.

Your Raggedy Ann/Andy quilt looks fantastic! I wish I could put such great quilts together as quickly as you do. I like the star on the right. Good contrast. Ann :-)

I'm with "Love" on using a mix of the stars. Is it possible with the pattern or idea you have in mind? Great job on the Raggedy Ann & Andy quilt! All the color is wonderful and it is NOT too busy for a little girl...and it would have to be awfully hard to lose, don't you think? By the way, forgot to tell you that you were right about the red fabric in your quilt. Sssh! Mary
