holy cows!

I wanted to do a post on the baby quilt I gave away today, but these cows are just too cute!

I got up and dug into the ironing portion this morning while it was still cool outside.  What a lot of little pieces to make up those cows, but suddenly they started looking like little cows!

I mixed and matched ears and heads until I had what I thought was a good combination for each cow and then moved on to moons and stars.

Though not as cute, they definitely look pretty cool all ready to be pinned on here.

The kitties have all been hanging out with me a lot.  Though my mom cat- and house-sat while we were gone and she loves her grandkitties very much, I think they missed the routine they've gotten used to with the hubby and I.

I'm not quite done unpacking quilty stuff and Luka seems to have a liking for suitcases (he also helped me pack and unpack my clothes).  He was purring so loud here, I think you might have heard him out wherever it is you're reading this.

And then I got out a bigger table to get all the pieces arranged properly.  The strips are only 31" across, but I wanted to have a good workspace and the portable folding tables I have are perfect.

Oooooohhhhhh!  This going to be so cute!

I've already sewed down two whole cows (6 pieces each!)!  Not bad for one day.

(I also found another job to apply for and spent what felt like an eternity filling out the online application - it's an exhausting process and so different from just a few years ago when a little blurb in the local newspaper prompted sending a paper resume and short cover letter!  I guess I'm old enough to say I miss the "old days," though I can see the benefit to employers with the online process.)

Happy quilting!
Katie

Oh, your cows are so cute! You did a great job! Hate the online application process, too, so you are not alone. Seems applying for a job is so much more complicated today.

Those cows are ADORABLE!! Soooooo CUTE!! And I'm with you about online applications. Sure, they may be easier - but for THEM - not for you. Good luck on the job search.
