sidetracked

I may not make my Monday deadline for the I Spy quilt...

I got a call for the dolls and quilts.  Long story short, a long time ago I volunteered what I had for a display/inspiration table since I knew I'd have a bunch done early.

I dropped off 16 quilts (holy cow!) and 12 dolls tonight.

They'll be at the September meeting of the quilt guild as well as their quilt show in early October.  I hope to get a picture of one or the other tables to show off...

But, when the call came, I still needed to finish binding on the last two quilts.  I could have put it off and turned these in at a later date, but this way I feel like it's done.  (Though I still need to squeeze the budget for 4 more dolls, but that shouldn't be too much trouble between now and Thanksgiving.)

Summer Slice

modified Birthday Presents

The colors on both are washed out and not so good, not to mention they're just laying on a table, but I was in a hurry and it was 10pm last night before I finished.  I just wanted to go to bed!

But they're done.  Yay!

When the call came, I figured I'd still have time to work on the I Spy this weekend, but things just keep piling up.  It's just one of those weekends where everyone wants to do something.  It will be fun, but I won't get much time to sew.

I hope you're all having a wonderful weekend!

Happy quilting,
Katie

  3. Love the little quilts, especially the top one. What is that pattern? It would look spectacular in a full size quilt.
