I showed you three of the four quilts made with the fabrics purchased at a family reunion, one of which ended up as my Lifesavers quilt.
The aunt whos quilt was not pictured read my blog and sent a photo of hers! She told me I could share it with you, so I'm going to post it here, but also add it to the Lifesavers post so the complete set is there, too.
I thought someone did the same pattern as me!
Here's a little of her e-mail, regarding the quilt:
"I took a quick picture of my "sherbert" quilt; you can add it to the collection of sisters' pictures if you want. Mine was a very simple design, as I was a beginner at quilting. Also, I hand quilted mine.
{daughter} used this at ISU on her bed for several years. It's a bit worn and faded -- but she loved it. It's now in her "quilt chest" at our house; we're hoping she gets a house soon, so the quilt...can be with her!!"
It's National Quilting Day. So get up from your computer and go QUILT! (That's where I'm headed!)
Happy quilting,
Katie
This quilt is just awesome!!
ReplyDeleteThe set is complete, thanks for sharing this last photo. I love the vibrant colors you all used and the quilts are wonderful! I plan to do some sewing today!
ReplyDeleteHow nice that the quilt has been loved and used, and what a thoughtful aunt, too.
ReplyDeleteNo quilting for me today, as our two little grandsons are coming over for a sleepover soon. That probably means no quilting tomorrow, either.
Hope you have a great day!
Sandy
