This is what I should be doing.
Quilting.
(Basted last night.)
But I'm chicken, so I'm hiding out on the blog.
I think I want to do free-motion around the animals...
Chicken?
Yep.
But I do have some uber-cool flip flops.
Leech Lake ate my old ones Sunday.
Sucked 'em right off my feet.
Yep, that's really the name of the lake.
I had a leech on me to prove it.
I had a leech on me to prove it.
(I'm not going back there. Ever.)
Maybe they'll grant me super quilting powers?
(Probably I should be wearing them...)
Enough being chicken. Face my fears. Dig in.
Happy quilting,
Katie
Very funny post.

Yep, been there. That moment of having the quilt all basted then looking at it thinking, "Now What"! You just have to go with it, I'm sure both the quilts will be so cute!
ReplyDeleteOh, I wouldn't go near that lake again, either. Leeches, eeewwwwwwwwwww!
Leeches. Yech!
ReplyDeleteHappy quilting, from one chicken to another :)
Let's see --- Hmmmm---My stack and whack quilt has been basted since March 8! I'm still looking at it and wondering, what next??! (I'm still chicken!) ---"Love"
ReplyDeleteWe call them thongs. Go for the free motion, it's very liberating. As for the leeches - what Marsha said. Cheers, Ann.
ReplyDeleteyou certainly wouldn't want to call them thongs here Ann !!! Remember the leeech in Stand by Me ???
ReplyDeleteI know that feeling -- I am always afraid that I am about to ruin a perfectly nice quilt top. I hope you have dug in by now (with your super powers, you might just be finished). Good Luck!

Leech Lake! Sounds like an adventure. Good luck with this next one. I'm a chicken sometimes too. Deadlines usually end up pushing me past that. Hopefully those uber cool flip flops are helping!
